☆CHARACTER
Character Name: Trucy Wright
Age: 16
Species: Human
Canon: Ace Attorney
Canon Point: Right after Dual Destinies, during one of her shows at the Wonder Bar.
Character Info: Here!Personality:Cheerful and outgoing, Trucy is the very picture of a perky teenage girl. She's also very energetic and often bounces in place when she's excited about something. Unfortunately, this excess energy also leaves her easily distracted. Conversations with Trucy frequently veer far off the original topic. She's also got a quirky sense of humor, offering to paint Apollo's suit to give him more color and going along with Jinxie's insistence that he's a demon.
Despite having a lot of difficulties in her childhood, Trucy still approaches life with optimism, and is often the one to find a silver lining in every bad situation. Even after being essentially abandoned by her birth father, she cheerfully accepts Phoenix as her new 'Daddy' and even promises to take care of him. She later innocently refers to it as being his 'sugar daddy.' Actually, she has a way of saying things in all innocence that could easily be taken the wrong way. People
do come from miles around to see her panties, but she should probably mention that it's a magic trick first.
As befits a girl raised first by a magician and then by a lawyer, Trucy has a strong curious streak. You might even call her nosy. She's always pestering Apollo to let her do things like play with strange machines or listen in on conversations. Also very bold, she doesn't hesitate to ask personal question even when talking to known gangsters. She is a lot more tight lipped when it comes to her own secrets though. Like everyone else, she refuses to tell Apollo anything about the 'case seven years ago.' And she keeps to the magician's code of not revealing the secret to magic tricks even when it would help them win a case.
Unlike many perky girl sidekicks though, Trucy is actually pretty clever. Several times she's the first one to make important connections between clues or to notice something important about a particular case. And she has no problem taking the lead in an investigation if Apollo is hesitating for any reason. She's also not above a bit of deviousness, if the situation calls for it. She staged her own abduction to stall for time when it seemed like Apollo would lose the Wocky Kitaki case. Speaking of abductions, when she was actually part of a group of hostages and given the chance to speak, Trucy had the sense to use those few seconds to give her father as much information as she could. She also stood by Phoenix in important poker games when she was a child, just so she could read his opponents' tells for him. Although she's quick to tell Apollo that it was technically not cheating, as she never saw their cards.

Rockstar Persona: Trucy already has a lot of the qualities that a good stage personality needs. So making her more suitable for this lifestyle required only a few key tweaks. First, replace magic with music. Magic is just a hobby she picked up, something to chat about during interviews. (She loves interviews.) Music is her true passion. And her ambition for stardom was given a boost. Now, there's nothing she wants more than to rise right to the top. She's always trying to come up with a way to improve her band's stage performance.
If she's the lead, her poor band mates are always being put through ridiculous last minute changes in costume or special effects right before a show. Just to make a better impression on the audience. If she's not the lead, then she's always pestering the band to try this or that in the name of showmanship. A lot of the things she wants to try do have their roots in stage magic though.
She's still nosy, but that has been redirected to more of a 'what's the latest gossip' rather than 'let's solve this mystery' kind of thing. And she's a little less distractable now, because she needs to keep her eye on the prize. And she's also developed a bad habit of going on stereotypical teen star shopping sprees and has trouble managing her money sensibly. And of course they've taken away her ability to perceive people, because who wants a brainwashed pawn that can tell when she's being lied to?
Still the same outgoing, quirky personality though. That just adds to her unique appeal. Her shows tend to be flashy and memorable, with the audience never being quite sure what's coming next. And she likes it that way.
Ideal CR: Family, with all the fluff and strife that comes with that sort of thing. (Ideally with Trucy as the over enthusiastic and very likely annoying younger sister.)
